An Educator Who Understands Students and Their Stories
I have always enjoyed a good story. I love words: simple, grand, clever, colorful; I appreciate how they convey personality. I believe every student has a unique story to tell. My role is to help students recognize their strengths and communicate their experiences with confidence.
My background as a former high school English teacher, community college writing instructor, state exam essay scorer, and college coach has shaped the way I support students through the admissions process.
As the parent of two college graduates and a current college junior, I understand the college journey from a family’s perspective. Throughout my career, I have helped students strengthen their writing, develop their ideas, and communicate effectively. I have also written hundreds of letters of recommendation, giving me insight into the qualities that help students stand out.
My approach is supportive, personalized, and student-centered. I work with students to help them present an authentic application that reflects who they are.
I live north of Boston with my husband and rescue dog (and happily still not an empty nester).

I enjoy connecting with teens. Their emerging adulthood and perspective on life engages me, and I find great value in helping them learn about themselves, and I find joy in their accomplishments.
